This abrasive product consists of a hard plastic hub with a layer of foam between the hub and belt. This wheel performs aggressively, with a slight drape to eliminate scratching and flat spots. It is a value packed alternative to other wheels on the market. They are excellent for sanding and polishing gemstones because of their high concentration of diamond particles which coat the substrate.

Our Flexwheels™ were originally designed for the lapidary industry (gemstones) but have been found to be an excellent solution for aggressive sanding and fine polishing of flame spray tungsten carbide and engineered materials, as well as a fine solution for the machine tool industry as a quick touch-up of carbide tools.

| This image is of our customer; World Wide Window Cleaning in Honolulu, HI. They needed a way to remove the top layer of glass with a factory tint (tempered glass). Eastwind Abrasives supplied them with 5 inch resin bond disks formulated specifically for glass. The kit included 5; 5 inch resin bond disks in the following mesh: 400,800 and 1200; and 9 micron, a 5” felt pad, and glass polishing compound. |
